Paid plans aren't held to the free-trial allowances below. For the voice minutes included with each plan, see the pricing page on sidekickforge.com. For Paragon, use Contact Sales in your billing settings or email help@sidekickforge.com.

Free trials

A free account runs for a set number of days, with these monthly allowances:

Messages, voice minutes and images reset on the 1st of each month.
At 80% and at 100% of any allowance, your sidekick tells you in chat and we email you. When voice minutes run out, text chat still works. Nothing is ever charged automatically.
A usage meter at the bottom of the admin sidebar shows how you're doing. Click it to open the Plan & usage page.
When the free days end, the sidekick is paused and replies that it's currently unavailable. Nothing is deleted. Subscribe, and everything comes back exactly as you left it, including its knowledge, abilities and conversations.

Subscribing and upgrading

From the Plan & usage page, click the Subscribe to … button for the plan you want (for example Subscribe to Adventurer · $49/month). You'll go to a secure Stripe checkout, then come back to your admin. Your account is upgraded in place, so there's nothing to rebuild or move.

If you try to create more sidekicks than your plan allows, Create Sidekick shows a lock and offers an upgrade.

Managing your subscription

Open Profile Settings (your name at the bottom of the admin sidebar), then go to Billing & Subscription.

Current Plan shows your plan, its status (Active, Trial, Past Due, Canceled, Free (Promo)…) and your next billing date.
Change Your Plan:
- Upgrade to Champion takes effect straight away, with prorated billing.
- Downgrade to Adventurer takes effect at the end of your billing period.
Manage Billing / Billing Portal opens Stripe's customer portal, where you can update your card, download invoices or cancel. If you cancel, your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.

Team members and roles

Open Users in the admin sidebar and click Add User. Enter their name and email and pick a role:

Role	What they can do
Admin (per client)	Everything you can do in the account: build and configure sidekicks, manage the knowledge base and abilities, and see monitoring.
Subscriber (per client)	Chat with your sidekicks and manage their own scheduled tasks. They can't see configuration, and abilities marked Admin Only are hidden from them.

From the user list you can also Edit someone's role, Set Password for them, or Delete them.

API keys: ours or yours

Your sidekicks rely on AI providers for thinking, voice, hearing and more. On your account's Settings page, the API Keys section decides where each provider's credentials come from.

The API Keys section: a default switch between Sidekick Forge Inference and My own keys, then Required providers grouped by Mind and Voice, each with its own switch and Replace, Test, Remove and Get a key buttons — API Keys. Set a default for everything, then switch individual providers as needed.

Default for every key switches between Sidekick Forge Inference (we provide the keys) and My own keys (bring your own).
Each provider has its own Sidekick Forge / My own key switch, so you can mix and match. For example, you can use your own ElevenLabs voice account and our inference for everything else. Some providers are marked Your key only.
Required lists what your sidekicks can't run without. Optional covers extras such as video avatars, web research and SEO tools. Use Add a key to search for a provider and add it.
For each key: Test checks that it works, Replace swaps it, Remove deletes it, and Get a key ↗ opens the provider's sign-up page.
Used by lists which sidekicks depend on that key, so you can see what a change will affect.

Keys are stored encrypted and are only shown masked. If a sidekick suddenly goes quiet, press Test on the keys it uses. An expired key or one that's out of credit is the most common cause.

Your profile and Telegram

Profile Settings also holds your name, email, company, phone and password. Under Channels, link your Telegram account with one tap, or by scanning a QR code from your computer. Once it's linked, your sidekicks can send you reminders on Telegram, and your Telegram chats share the same memory as the web app.
