The beginning
A forge, not a factory
The first wave of AI gave us assistants that were impressively capable and almost completely interchangeable. Strip the logo and the same model lived behind every chat box. None of it belonged to you.
We started Sidekick Forge because the most useful companion isn't the most powerful model — it's the one that knows your story, speaks in your voice, and understands what you actually care about. That kind of relationship can't be rented from somebody else's assistant. It has to be forged.
So we built the workshop: lore you write yourself, abilities you wire in, modalities you choose, and a sidekick that's genuinely yours — to keep, to move, to take with you.
